GENERAL - The company’s terms of sale are based upon these written terms and condition.
The company has created many links to these terms and conditions from the product pages and other areas within its website. The customer may continue to place an order with the company only if they have read and are accepting the companies terms and conditions. If the customer has a question about the terms and conditions, they should ask to speak direct with Jo Wijngaarden, or put their question to the company in writing in advance of the purchase thus, giving the company time to consider the issue and respond to the customer. The terms and conditions form a legally binding contract between the customer and company. This does not affect the customer’s statutory consumer rights.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRADING
Any items returned within 14 days of purchase can be exchanged for a full refund to full value of goods, minus postage costs. This will be valid for 28 days from issue. No refunds will be made for made to order, made to measure, personalised items or goods which have been ordered in specifically for you and are not part of stock held by Communion Angels. The company must be made aware of any faulty goods received within 3 working days of the item being received by the customer. Refunds will be offered on faulty goods upon return or with photographic evidence. Postage costs for faulty goods will be refunded.
SHOP TRANSACTIONS
We accept debit/credit cards and process payments via Paypal and SumpUp card readers, if you are not happy to use this service we also accept bank transfers or cash. There are cash dispensers in Chertsey Street and BP Garage on Bridge Road. We will not allow any products to leave our shop until full payment has been made.
DISCOUNTS
Our First Communion dresses and accessories are competitively priced, in most cases the RRP is set by the manufacturers themselves so we cannot lower our prices as they are the lowest price we can offer to customer and to run our business. Which means we do not offer a discount on any First Communion products. The prices are as stated, so please do not ask for a discount.
By not offering one off discounts, means we treat every customer the same, whether you ask for a discount or not.

CHANGES IN SPECIFICATION - In the event of a product or a products component going into short supply, the company will source a replacement. If the replacement product or component is very different to the original advertised on the website the company will contact the customer direct to discuss it with them.
We warrant that, at the time of delivery, the ordered goods will, subject as hereinafter provided, correspond with the description on this website, will be free from defects in materials and workmanship and will be of satisfactory quality (within the meaning of the Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994). There may, however, be minor variations between the goods as shown or described on our website and those despatched to you (but so that the goods despatched will always be of a comparable or superior quality).
LIMITED LIABILITY AND SAFETY - In no event will the company or any of its suppliers be liable for any damages whatsoever to either the customer or a third party claimant, for direct or indirect damages, loss, loss of income or replacement costs resulting from a product sold by the company that is miss-used, left un-attended, negligence or any other situation where common user safety should be applied. Examples of safety issues are choking from small parts such as a sequins or fire resulting from an un-attended candle. The company’s products are sold on the assumption that the customer will take reasonable care and use the products with safety in mind. The company mainly retails hand crafted decorative items with many small parts, glitter, and sequins for a traditional celebration. The company will make every effort to warn the customer about anything it considers being a possible safety issue by either a written notice alongside a product on the website, some products come with a written warning on the packaging or a warning incorporated with/on a despatch or advice note.
We shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, failure to follow our instruction (whether oral or writing), misuse or alteration or repair of the ordered goods without our approval.
ORDERING ON-LINE - The companies on-line ‘secure payment system’ is operated by Paypal and Stripe. Both PayPal and Stripe encrypts the customer’s personal details making the system reliable and secure. They are operational 24 hours a day and accepts Master Card, Visa, Access, Switch and Solo. The customer can specify the postal address if different from their home address. We do not deliver to PO BOX addresses.
We have made every effort to display all our products as accurately as possible First Holy Communion Day reserves the right to not supply that item at said price. However as colours and images vary depending on your own monitor and browser we cannot guarantee that products will be exactly as seen on your monitor. Most products have been described with sizes/lengths given as accurately as possible. We do try to make sure that all details contained within the Web Site are as accurate as possible. On the rare occasion that there is a typo error, we cannot be held responsible.
First Communion Dresses - We stock a wide range of First Communion dresses from different designers. Most of the stock Communion dresses are mass produced and are handbeaded and embroidered by hand so can be slightly different to image . We try to be as accurate as possible in displaying the Communion dresses but often the colours and the designs may vary from those seen on the site.
First Holy Communion Dress - Shop Reservation Orders - Please note - Deposits are non refundable - Unfortunately as your dress has been reserved for you, someone else may have missed out on purchasing therefore if you wish to cancel your order, the following terms will apply - if you cancel after 14 days you will forfeit your deposit, if you cancel after 21 days you will forfeit your deposit and any outstanding communion dress balances are still due in full . If you paid by card, payment will be processed to this card . If however, you wish to purchase a different dress that we have in stock from us, then we will happily transfer the deposit to the new Communion dress.
Pre Order Communion Dress
Every pre order dress is made-to-order, even for the standard size . Once your payment is confirmed, the designers start to select and cut material according your size, so it is a tailor-made dress only for you. Therefore we are unable to accept returns on pre order or made to order dresses apart from in the case of faulty goods. Please make sure that measurements are taken accurately and sizes are chosen carefully. First Holy Communion day cannot accept responsibility for measurements taken by a third party
Pre Order Communion dresses are non-stock items that we do not keep in our inventory and delivery may take up to 6 - 16 weeks. Refunds can not be offered on Pre-Ordered Communion Dresses.
Any product which has to be specially ordered (pre order) in a colour or size of your choice and is not therefore held by us as a stock item will be deemed a custom order.
Your rights under Distance Selling - UK & N. Ireland customers
In accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive - The Distance Selling Regulations state customers in the European Union also have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within 14 working days of the day after the date the product is delivered. In order to exercise this right you must notify us by email at communionangels@hotmail.com that you wish to exercise your statutory right to withdraw from your purchase.

Exceptions to the right to cancel
Any product which has to be specially ordered (pre order) in a colour or size of your choice and is not therefore held by us as a stock item will be deemed a custom order.
The supply of goods that are specially ordered, made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised or any other customised aspect that makes it unique to you
Perishable and other items that deteriorate rapidly such as food and flowers
Underwear and earrings
To avoid disappointment, please check whether an item is cancelable or non-cancelable before ordering.
If an order has already been processed and dispatched have already been dispatched, you can refuse any delivery of cancelled goods, if your order has been accepted and opened he order must be returned to us in accordance with our Returns Policy.
We reserve the right to cancel your order at any time and issue a full refund.
This does not affect your statutory rights.

First Holy Communion Day reserve the right at any time to revise prices to account for any increases in costs including, but not limited to, the increase or imposition of any duty, tax, levy or exchange rate variation. We will take all reasonable steps to notify you of any relevant revision of prices before processing your order.
DISPATCH SERVICES
We use Royal Mail as our preferred dispatch service. When shipping large bulky items or shipping overseas we may choose to use a courier, we will discuss prices and options with the customer before committing to a postal service if it is outside our standard shipping rates.
Some of our designer made to order products are provided on a drop ship service, and designers offer several dispatch services, prices may vary for each designer, all dispatch times quoted are estimated only, based on availability and normal delivery time in working days.
Royal Mail dispatch service are sent at the customers own risk and there is nothing Communion Angels can do if your parcel does not arrive or is returned back to us. Communion Angels is not liable for loss, damage or theft in transit, or for any consequential loss, damage or disappointment if Royal Mail fail to deliver within their published time scales. Refunds cannot be given or replacement items sent in these circumstances.
If the delivery service fails then we will assist you in any compensation claim but you must make the claim with Royal Mail.If you do not accept this condition please do not use these services, we therefore recommend you select a tracked/signed for dispatch option before checkout.
The delivery of goods to you is deemed to be a separate contract for services, distinct from your contract to purchase the goods.

OUTSTANDING INVOICES - We exercise our statutory right to claim interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the late payment legislation if we are not paid according to agreed credit terms. A service charge of 1.70% per month, Annual percentage rate of 20.4%, or the maximum rate allowed by law will be made on all invoices not paid within terms.Any discount will be withdrawn and full rrp price will be applicable
PRICE AND PAYMENT - While we try and ensure that all prices on our web site are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of the products you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of either reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel an order due to an error in price and we have already received payment for the affected products you will receive a full refund.

ALTERATION SERVICES
Alterations are not included in the price of your Communion Dress or Communion Suit
We do not understake any alterations at Communion Angels, although we are able to recommend our local dressmakers.
Please note if you decide to use the alteration service the resulting legal contract is between you and the dressmaker
We cannot give any undertaking, that alteration services will be of satisfactory quality, and this and any other such warranties (whether express or implied) are disclaimed by us absolutely to the fullest extent permitted by law. This disclaimer does not affect your statutory rights against the dressmaker.
We do not review or control, and are not responsible in any way for services provided by the dressmaker

We currently only ship orders under 2KG - Overseas shipping and despatch rates are displayed on the website. We use DPD for our European deliveries which is secure and fully insured service to most international destinations. We are happy to accommodate requests to use alternative courier companies should you have a preference, the costs can be discussed and agreed before placing an order. Please do get in touch to discuss options. The customer is responsible for paying their own local import tax/duty plus any post office handling charge. We have no control over customs delays, and we cannot be responsible for any duty or taxes which may become payable.
